This Privacy Policy describes how XClipR ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the XClipR Chrome Extension and related services (the "Service").

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider — we do not store your credit card details.

Usage data. We may collect anonymized usage data such as feature usage frequency, clip durations, and error logs to improve the Service. This data is not linked to your identity.

Local storage. The Chrome Extension stores your preferences (e.g., video quality selection) locally in your browser using Chrome's Storage API. This data never leaves your device.

Video data. YouTube URLs and clip timestamps you submit are processed by our backend to extract and encode video segments. We do not permanently store the videos you clip — processed files are automatically deleted after delivery.

3. Third-Party Services

The Service interacts with the following third-party services:

• YouTube — We use YouTube's IFrame API to preview videos. YouTube's Privacy Policy applies to your use of their player.
• X (Twitter) — The Extension injects clips into X's compose interface. X's Privacy Policy applies to your posts.
• Payment processor — Paid subscriptions are handled by a third-party provider. Their privacy policy governs payment data.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Processed video files are deleted automatically after delivery to your browser. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
